The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024. Of course every year CTET will be happened in twice. The score in CTET would apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and NCT of Delhi.

Detailed CTET 2024 Paper Pattern

Basically, there are two types of papers and are selected to the candidates for their eligibility criteria based. That is for candidates who wish to teach from classes 1 to 5 and the candidates who wish to teach from classes 6 to 8 are Paper-1 and Paper-2 respectively.

  • About Paper-1:
    • This is for the candidates who teach for classes 1 to 5
    • It consists of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) having one mark for each question
    • Duration of paper is: 2 hours 30 minutes
    • In this paper, there are five sub-categories
      1. Child Development and Pedagogy
      2. Language I (compulsory)
      3. Language II (compulsory)
      4. Mathematics
      5. Environmental Studies

         

  • About Paper-2:
    • This is for the candidates who teach for classes 6 to 8
    • It consists of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) having one mark for each question
    • Duration of paper is: 2 hours 30 minutes
    • In this paper
      • Child Development & Pedagogy(compulsory),
      • Language I (compulsory)
      • Language II (compulsory)
      • Mathematics and Science (for Mathematics and Science teacher)
      • Social Studies/Social Science (for Social Studies/Social Science teacher)
